Prop money circulating around Pueblo

Pueblo police are warning people about funny money being used across the city.

Police said the fake $100 bills are used in the motion picture industry. The money closely resembles real money, but clearly says “for motion picture use only” on the bills.

There are also other ways to spot the prop money, police said:

– Fake currency is smaller

– The bill does not have a working hologram

– President faces look more cartoonish

– Fake bills DO NOT state FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE like real currency

– Treasurer and secretary names are fake

– Serial numbers are fake
