The Air Force football team has a chance to win the Commander in Chief’s Trophy this weekend

Dating back to 1972, Air Force leads the series against Army in Commander in Chief's Trophy games. Last year, the Falcons lost 21-14 in overtime to the Black Knights,

“It was tough ..losing those games are always tough but I am thankful that I took turnback that i have another chance,” says Air Force senior defensive lineman Christopher Herrera.

While the Falcons are coming off a bye week, the Black Knights are coming into the game with back to back wins. In order to beat Army, the Falcons plan to be alert on offense and defense, “The pad level that's required to play really well at any service academy game is a must, you know upfront on both sides of the ball,” says Air Force head coach, Troy Calhoun.

Air Force and Army will be meeting for the 57th time. A win over Army would give Air Force their 21st Commander in Chief's trophy and for the senior class, they would earn a trip to the White House, “It would be amazing, Coach Calhoun asked some of the coaches and they said besides having kids its one of the best things you would have done in the lifetime,” says Herrera.
