Storm drain to help with flooding in Manitou Springs

For the past two years the city has been working to install a storm drain system to help with potential flooding in Manitou Springs.

If flooding did occur, this storm drain could hold up to 15 feet of water. This project started after the Manitou Springs flooding in September 2013.

Crews spent Thursday morning working on the drain system and placed sandbags throughout it.

They are still working on patching up some of the areas but hope to complete the project in the next few weeks.
