Cinemark theaters offering big discounts for first-ever National Cinema Day

COLORADO (KRDO) -- Cinemark movie theaters are inviting fans to come out and celebrate the inaugural National Cinema Day on Sept. 3 with discounted tickets, re-releases, and concession deals.

According to a Cinemark release, tickets for all movies and all formats, including Cinemark XD, IMAX, D-BOX, and 3D will be just $3, not including taxes and fees.

Cinemark said theaters will also be offering discounts on concessions, including:

• $3 Medium Fountain Beverage or Medium ICEE
• $3 Candy
• $3 Small Popcorn (large popcorn upgrade available for only $1 more)

The one-day event will be held at more than 3,000 locations and on more than 30,000 screens across the country.

Cinemark said National Cinema Day will celebrate a summer of record-breaking moviegoing with movies and a special sneak peek of upcoming titles from A24, Amazon Studios, Disney, Focus Features, Lionsgate, Neon, Paramount, Sony Pictures Classics, Sony, United Artists Releasing, Universal, and Warner Bros.
