Pilot dead after plane crash in Douglas County

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) --A private pilot is dead following a plane crash in Douglas County.

It happened near the Centennial Airport just after 2 p.m. this afternoon.

The pilot died in the crash and was the only person on board.

No fire broke out, but there was a small fuel spill. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating what led up to the crash.
