UPDATE: Man arrested on unrelated charges after meth making ingredients found in home

Police say a man was arrested after an investigation into a possible meth-making operation Thursday night, but that the arrest had nothing to do with the potential meth lab.

Police originally went to the home in the 100 block of Drake Street at around noon Thursday because of a menacing call.

A DEA cleanup crew was called after ingredients for making meth were found in the house. Police said the people inside the home had to be decontaminated.

Michael Charter, 23, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery after police say he confessed to driving a man to a Subway on Jan. 25 to rob the restaurant. Charter told police that the man robbed the store because he owed Charter money. Charter lives in the home where the meth ingredients were found.

According to Charter’s arrest affidavit, police said he had been mixing chemicals in his garage.

Police said Thursday night that they expected to arrest at least one person for manufacturing meth, but they didn’t say who that person was. That arrest had not happened as of Friday evening.
