Early morning fire at Marian House Soup Kitchen

The Colorado Springs Fire Department quickly put out a structure fire at the Marian House Soup Kitchen on West Bijou Street in downtown Colorado Springs.

Firefighters responded to the call just after midnight. They report that a dryer in the basement of the building caught fire after several towels ignited. The fire was contained to that dryer and did not spread to the rest of the building.

The building had to be aired out for several hours early Saturday morning.
