Three-day Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival happening at America the Beautiful Park
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Friday kicks off a three-day Juneteenth celebration. At America the Beautiful Park, people can enjoy the Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival.
According to organizers, the goal of the event is to bring together people from every background and community for a time of celebration, music, and family fun.
The free event will have a fashion show, skating rink, car show, a 5K run, and live music. People can also benefit from a backpack giveaway and food drive.

Friday, June 17th:
- 4 p.m.-4:10 p.m.: Onebody Ent Opening Statements
- 4:15p.m.- 5:15 p.m.: JuneTeenth Jaunt
- 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.: Youth Award Celebration
- 7 p.m.: Xpressions Beauty Studio JuneTeenth Fashion Show
Saturday, June 18th:
- 9 a.m.-12 p.m.: Health Fair – Dance Fitness with Natilia
- 9 a.m.-11 a.m.: Farmers Market and Back to School Give Away
- 12 p.m.-4 p.m.: Juneteenth Car Show
- 12 p.m.-2 p.m.: Lil Miss Story hour
- 3 p.m.-4 p.m.: Poetry 719
- 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.: Literacy Corner w/ Tray Chaney. Hosted by Dr Nathaniel Granger Jr.
- 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.: JuneTeenth Jaunt

Sunday, June 19th:
