Police working to identify bank robber

Colorado Springs detectives are searching for information about a man who robbed a bank near Academy Blvd. and Austin Bluffs Pkwy.

The robbery happened at a TCF Bank branch in the 4300 block of N. Academy Blvd. It was reported at 9:49 a.m.

Police say the robber, pictured above, walked into the bank and acted as though he was going to fill out paperwork at the customer service counter. After a few moments, they say he walked up to a teller and pulled out a black handgun. They say he pointed the gun at the teller and demanded money.

The man got away with an unknown amount of money. He was last seen running north.
