Brock Butson sentenced to 192 years in prison
A man who police linked to a string of bank robberies in Colorado Springs has been convicted on 18 of the 20 charges he was facing.
The verdict came down on Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
Brock Butson, 51, was accused of driving the getaway car while his son’s Braden, 23, and Nicholas, 20, took turns robbing banks.
Butson was found guilty on multiple counts of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and attempted robbery. He was also found guilty on four habitual criminal counts.
Butson was sentenced to 192 years in prison on November 3, 2014.
Braden Butson pleaded guilty to two counts of felony robbery in November 2013, and was sentenced to six years in prison in January 2014.
KRDO reported that Nicholas Butson pleaded guilty to the charges he was facing in November as well.
Police said the Butsons were linked to seven bank robberies and one attempted bank robbery at the time of their arrest.
The three were arrested at the Travel Star Inn on S. Nevada Ave. in September 2013.
