Update: Victim ID’d in El Paso County motorcycle crash
A Colorado Springs man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Monday morning.
The Colorado State Patrol reports it happened around 3 a.m. on Highway 85 near Venetucci Boulevard.
Troopers report the Suzuki motorcycle veered off the right side of the road and into a grassy median. The motorcycle struck a guardrail, and the driver was ejected.
Robert Grissell, 27, suffered severe head trauma and died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
CSP reports alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
