27th annual High Country Toy Run

Nearly one thousand motorcycle riders donated toys during the 27th annual High Country Toy Run Sunday (10/6/14).

The run benefits the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.

“For a lot of these kids, the toys the folks provide during this event are the only toys they get for Christmas this year,” said toy run founder Jim Wear.

Each biker brought at least one toy. The donated toys will be distributed to children across the Pikes Peak Region.

High Country Toy Run collected more than 20,000 toys and books for children in El Paso and Teller Counties last year.
