CSPD: Man argues with pedestrians, shoots man while driving away

Colorado Springs police arrested a suspect in a drive-by shooting Friday night.

Police say Zachary Ballenger, 21, was involved in an argument with three pedestrians near the intersection of Circle Dr and Galley Rd around 11:30 p.m. As he drove away, police say he fired a gun at the pedestrians.

One man was hit and suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Police pulled over Ballenger near Platte Ave and Williamette Ave shortly after. They say he wouldn’t follow orders when he got out of the car, and was tased before being taken into custody.

Ballenger faces felony charges for his involvement in the shooting.
