Police search for suspect in Colorado Springs gas station shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department released photos of a suspect in a shooting that injured two people.

Monday, officers responded to the Circle K at 3290 Austin Bluffs Pkwy. on reports of a shooting. At the scene, police found two people suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Based on preliminary information, police say a male suspect entered the Circle K and shot an employee inside. The suspect then exited the business and shot a second victim who was at the gas pump. From there, the suspect drove away from the scene in the second victim's vehicle. According to police, that vehicle has since been found.

According to CSPD, both victims suffered significant injuries, however, they are expected to survive.

Now, detectives with the Homicide/Violent Crimes unit are asking the community for help identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned Black male, possibly late teens or early twenties. He was seen wearing all black clothing, a black mask, and a black backpack. Police say there were distinct black and white pattern in his hoodie.
