Fire out at Clarion Hotel

Firefighters have put out a fire at the Clarion Hotel.

CSFD says it took about 20 minutes to get it under control.

It happened at the hotel in the 300 block of West Bijou Street in Colorado Springs.

The fire started around 9:15 Tuesday (6/24/14) morning.

Westbound Bijou Street was closed between Spruce Street and I-25, it has now re-opened.

CSFD says the hotel’s sprinkler system did activate.

Firefighters are helping people get back to their rooms, so they can gather their personal belongings.

Firefighters say no one has been hurt. They do not yet know how the fire started.
