El Paso County kidnapping suspect also accused of indecent exposure

The sheriff’s office says it has linked an El Paso County kidnapping suspect to other crimes.

Kyle Davis Curley Murphy, 23, turned himself in at the Criminal Justice Center on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.

A warrant was issued for Murphy’s arrest the day before.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says Murphy is the man responsible for a kidnapping that happened on Sunday, June 1, 2014.

The incident happened near Woodmen Hills Drive and Velvet Antler Way in Falcon.

The sheriff’s office said the 19-year-old victim was riding her bike when an SUV pulled up next to her. A man then got out and forced the woman into the SUV. Authorities said the woman was able to jump out of the vehicle as it sped away.

The sheriff’s office says that during its investigation, it linked Murphy to two indecent exposure cases. He’s accused of pulling his truck up to women in both cases and exposing himself.

One incident happened on March 24, 2014 in the Walmart Parking lot at 11550 Meridian Market View. The other happened on Londonderry Drive on May 31, 2014.

Murphy is facing charges for first degree kidnapping, false imprisonment, menacing, third degree assault and indecent exposure.
