Fort Carson soldier killed in aircraft crash in Afghanistan
The Department of Defense says a soldier who was stationed at Fort Carson has died in an aircraft crash in Afghanistan.
The crash happened in Kandahar Province on May 28, 2014. The cause is under investigation.
Pfc. Jacob H. Wykstra, 21, was originally from Thornton.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson.
