El Paso County woman found guilty of murdering her husband
An El Paso County woman has been found guilty of first degree murder in the death of her husband.
Miguel Barajas, 47, was found shot to death at a home in the 100 block of Judson Street in Security-Widefield on February 13, 2013. His wife, Sandra Barajas, 52, was found guilty of killing him on February 21, 2014.
Two other people were also arrested in the killing, including Barajas’ stepdaughter, Dawn Richburg, 33, and a mutual acquaintance, Tommy Wright, 34.
Wright pleaded guilty to second degree murder in Baraja’s death.
Dawn Richburg’s trial is scheduled for April.
