Colorado Springs on Accident Alert status; wrecks piling up
The Colorado Springs Police Department is on Accident Alert status due to the number of wrecks being called in Sunday night.
That means if you are involved in a minor accident in which no one is hurt and no alcohol or drugs are involved you can exchange insurance information with the other driver and report the accident up to 72 hours later.
Several wrecks have been reported Sunday night. Trouble spots include Powers Boulevard near Platte Avenue, Mesa Ridge Parkway in Fountain and Highway 115 near Turkey Creek Road.
Snow plow crews remain on full call out across the Pikes Peak area.
