Torf made 32 saves while Brittain made 35 for the Pioneers. “The goal at the end of the first period was huge for them,” head coach Frank Serratore said. “I thought we controlled the first period up to that point, but that goal gave them a lift. They came at us with some high octane in the second period. They fed us in the second and they could have had five goals, but Torf kept it close. We were better in third and just couldn’t connect on anything. These games showed that we can play against these high-end teams, but we have to play well.”
Air Force hosts a two-game Atlantic Hockey Association against the Bentley Falcons, Friday-Saturday, Nov. 29-30 at the Cadet Ice Arena.
