Fountain police searching for domestic violence, forgery suspect

The Fountain Police Department says a domestic violence suspect who they are looking for also has warrants for forgery.

Police say that around 7 Wednesday morning they received a call for help from a home in the 800 block of S. Santa Fe Avenue.

Investigators say Christopher Cole kicked in the front door of the home where his wife and child were staying.

Cole allegedly kicked in the door of the room they were sleeping in, said that people were trying to kill him and that he wanted to see his child.

Cole was confronted by the owner of the home. That person fired a shot into the air and Cole ran off.

Police say Cole was recently released from a psychiatric hospital and may be suffering from mental illness.

In addition to the charges stemming from Wednesday’s incident, Cole is wanted for forgery and is a registered sex offender.

Call police if you know where he is.
