Woman killed in Pueblo West crash

A woman was killed in a two car crash Friday night in Pueblo West.

The crash happened just after 8 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 50 and Purcell Blvd.

Troopers say the driver of a white Dodge Neon failed to stop for the red light when a black Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into the car.

The driver of the Dodge Neon, Valerie Taylor of Pueblo, 36, died on scene.

A 15-month-old toddler in Taylor’s car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Jeep, Zane Mumma of Salida, 28, was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Troopers do not think speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
