Fire destroys a Fremont County Cafe
Susie’s Outwest Caf and Steakhouse in Howard is destroyed in an early morning fire, officials said.
Fremont County Sheriff’s officials said the fire started at the cafe on US-50 at about 3:15 a.m.
Several fire departments responded including Howard Fire, Western Fremont Fire, South Arkansas Fire, Deer Mountain Fire, Salida Fire. Crews were able to get the fire out before it could spread to a the nearby Blackbear RV Park and Resort. A small outbuilding was also destroyed, officials said. No one was hurt.
The caf has been closed for sometime for remodeling. Officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
