Colorado Springs Police: man taken into custody after pointing gun at pedestrians

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs police took a man into custody Monday after reportedly pointed a gun at people in a residential area.

Officers with the Sand Creek Division were dispatched to a weapons display at 4:37 p.m. The reporting party said a man was pointing a handgun at people walking around their neighborhood.

Officers found the suspect in a backyard of a residence in the 2900 block of Cabrillo Cr. With the assistance of K9 and Tactical units, officers were able to get the suspect, identified as James Frazier, into custody.

The investigating is ongoing.
