Drowning Victim Found At Skagway Reservoir

The body of a man who drowned in Skagway Reservoir Thursday has been recovered.

The Teller County Sheriff’s Office says that dive teams found the body around 1:40 Saturday afternoon.

Rescuers spent 30 hours scouring the reservoir after someone reported that a canoe tipped over and the man inside went under the water.

The identity of the victim will not be released until the coronor confirms it is the man who rescuers were looking for, and his family is notified.
