Man Hit By Train In Security ID’d
The El Paso County Coroner’s Office determined Wednesday that a man who was hit by a train in Security committed suicide.
On Monday, an engineer stopped his train in the area adjacent to Highway 85/87 near Plaza Drive and reported seeing a body lying near the tracks. The Coroner’s Office identified the body as 55-year-old David Allen Campbell. Authorities believe a different train hit Campbell earlier in the day.
The Coroner determined that Campbell’s death was a suicide. The Sheriff’s Office says no further information will be released on the investigation.
