Pueblo Police: Former Wrestler Arrested After Robbery, Chase

A former professional wrestler who fought by the name “Much Too Much” was arrested after a robbery but another man is still on the run, according to Pueblo Police.

Officers said that what started as a deal to purchase stereo equipment turned in a robbery on Friday at around 3 p.m. near Troy Avenue and Constitution Road.

Two men including Marvin Cordova Jr., 27, were supposed to sell more than $400 worth of stereo equipment but robbed the victim instead, police said.

Officers later spotted the car near 13th and Main streets. Two men fled on foot.

The driver got away but police caught up with Cordova, the former professional boxer.

Cordova had four active warrants and was on the Pueblo Police Department’s “Most Wanted” list.

According to our news partners at the Pueblo Chieftan, Cordova has a professional record of 21-2-1. He was a sparring partner for Manny Pacquiao in preparation for Pacquiao’s 2008 fight against Oscar De La Hoya.

Police said Cordova was booked into the Pueblo County jail on three warrants. He has not yet been charged in the robbery. Cordova was being held on a $150,000 bond.
