Update: Yoder Tornado Reported; One Family’s Carport Has No Roof

Update: A possible tornado touched down in Yoder Thursday night. One family shared photos of a steel carport that had the roof completely torn off.

The reports came in about 7:30pm, during a round of storms that dumped heavy rain and large hail across the region.

Harry Brantley of Antioch Road in Yoder tells NewsChannel 13 that there’s no doubt in his mind; He says he saw the tornado that tore apart his out-building.

The family reports that a skinny funnel cloud descended on their property, and was gone again in less than a minute.

A woman who live a few roads south, on Fred View Road, reported similar damage to a roof on her home.

There were no reports of injuries.

The National Weather Service is investigating.
