First Lady Jill Biden visiting Fort Carson next week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- First Lady of the United States Dr. Jill Biden will be making a visit to Colorado next week to tour Fort Carson, her office announced Friday.

According to the White House, the First Lady will visit Fort Carson on Thursday, May 6. This is coming after a trip to Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.

The White House didn't give a specific reason for the visit to Fort Carson, but said additional details will come soon.

We're checking with Fort Carson to see if Dr. Biden will be available for an interview.
