Fake Money Making Rounds In Pueblo
Pueblo police said someone in town is passing counterfeit bills.
It has happened at two different locations: the Western Convenience Store on North Elizabeth and the Family Dollar on Lake Avenue.
A fake $100 bill was passed at both places.
KRDO NewsChannel 13 learned the suspect in the Family Dollar is a Hispanic woman with dark hair. The suspect who passed the fake bill at Western Convenience is a man. We do not have his description.
The scam artist is turning a five-dollar bill to a 100-dollar bill.
Police are warning business owners to take a close look at each bill they take in.
