Tomato Thrown At Palin During Minnesota Book Signing

MINNESOTA (ABCnews.com) – A Minnesota man is charged after authorities say he threw a tomato in Sarah Palin’s direction during her Monday book signing in Minnesota.

Bloomington Police say Jeremy Olson was arrested at the Mall of America after witnesses saw the 33-year-old throw a tomato at the former vice presidential candidate.

Authorities say the tomato missed Palin by 10 feet but hit two officers. Palin was seemingly unaware of the attempted tomato attack.

Olson is charged with fourth degree assault on a police officer and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

We are tracking Palin’s book-signing event today in Colorado Springs and will have a full report of her visit on NEWSCHANNEL 13 at 5 p.m. and KRDO.com
