Colorado Springs Remains On Accident Alert Monday

COLORADO SPRINGS – Due to the weather and road conditions in portions of Colorado Springs, the Colorado Springs Police Department is now on Accident Alert Status. Cold reporting of traffic crashesis ineffectcitywide. Citizens that are involved in a crash, where there are no injuries and alcohol is not suspected, will have 72 hours to report their accidents.

Go to the Public Safety link on the city’s intranet at springsgov.comfor the proper cold reporting forms.You can find them by following these steps on the site: click on “Public Safety”, then “police department”,followed by “forms and documents”.

Citizens can also come into one of the four police department divisions or Police Operation Center (POC) to fill out a cold accident report.
