Gov. Jared Polis announces actions amid COVID-19 spread in Colorado
DENVER (KRDO) -- Colorado Gov. Jared Polis gave an update Friday morning on the status of COVID-19 in the state, including a slew of new executive actions aimed largely at easing economic burdens in the state.

Those actions include:
- Encouraging lenders to hold off on foreclosures
- Requesting financial institutions defer payments for consumer loans up to 90 days (student loans, auto loans, refi loans, etc)
- Requesting landlords to not evict tenants unless public safety requires it, plus refraining from late fees until April 30.
- No state law enforcement resources will be used for evictions.
- Extending tax filing deadline in state for 90 days until July 15.
- Extending enrollment for workers to sign up for health care through the state exchange until April 3.
Polis also pitched several aid websites that have been set up, including helpcoloradonow.org for volunteers and community assistance, and ChooseColorado.com for small businesses to get information on SBA disaster loans.
The governor also says the state is creating an emergency economic council to take short and long-term steps to handle the crisis and stimulate economic recovery.
