Pueblo police warn of unofficial ‘hide and seek from police’ event flyer circulating social media

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) is issuing a warning after a recent flyer circulated suggesting a "Hide and Seek from the Police" event on Halloween.

According to PPD, the department is aware of a social media post advertising a "Hide and Seek from the Police" event.

PPD says they want to emphasize this is not an official PPD event, and the department is not organizing, endorsing or participating in it.

The flyer that was posted advertised a meeting at PPD for a wristband before a "15-minute head start". There were even rules, including remaining inside city limits and staying outside.

PPD is now asking community members to verify any upcoming or potential events through the department's communication channels and avoid sharing unconfirmed information.
