Warm and mostly sunny into the weekend

This Afternoon: Well above-average temperatures continue to be front and center in the forecast. Colorado Springs average high temperature for Oct 8^th is 68 degrees. Today, the Springs is looking at a whopping 83 degrees. Skies will be mostly blue and clear with a few clouds off into the distance. 

Windy conditions kick up after 1 pm. Gusts up to 20 mph push through, making their way north. 

Tomorrow: Friday is looking like the warmest day of the 7-day forecast. High temperatures could get up to 84 degrees, which would tie the high temperature record for Oct 9th. Once again, there will be spotty mountain showers and snow showers above 10,000 feet in elevation. However, conditions will be mostly dry east of I-25. 

Weekend: The weekend will bring a more active pattern mainly across the western regions. However, Sunday is looking like the next best chance to get a heavy shower through Colorado Springs. Temperatures will also finally drop into the high 70s on Sunday.
