North Cheyenne Cañon Park roads to close for maintenance

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Roads throughout North Cheyenne Cañon Park will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 7, while crews complete road maintenance.

City officials confirm that the road closures will begin Wednesday and remain in place until 5 p.m. All park gates will be closed to vehicles, and the park roads will also be closed to pedestrians and bicyclists.

Heavy machinery will be operating throughout the area, creating dangerous conditions. Officials are asking visitors to stay off all closed park roads while crews work.

The city says anyone on a closed road will be directed to an alternative route.
