EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The six winners of the "I Voted" sticker design contest for El Paso County have been announced.

The county's Clerk and Recorder's office says six total winners were selected, with two from three different categories. Those were elementary school, middle school and high school students. The county says it received several designs from 1st to 12th graders.

The designs will be included in the election ballot packets that will be sent to registered voters on Monday, October 5. The winners were recognized at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, and each received a $100 gift card.

"“The creativity and civic spirit shown by these students is truly inspiring,” El Paso County Clerk and Recorder Steve Schleiker said in a press release. “Each of our six winners created more than a sticker; they created a powerful reminder that voting is both a right and responsibility, and that civic engagement can begin at any age. I’m proud to celebrate these talented young artists and grateful to every student who shared their imagination, enthusiasm, and voice with our community.”

The following designs won the contest:

Mia Rodriguez, 3rd grader at Academy for Advanced and Creative Learning

Taliah Kellar, 5th grader at Lewis Palmer Elementary

Juliet Mendenhall, 7th grader at Russell Middle School

Grace Shin, 8th grader at Lewis Palmer Middle School

Kendall Lee, 10th grader at Sand Creek High School
