COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The El Paso County Coroner's Office has identified a motorcycle driver that died after a crash in August.

According to officials, Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 800 block of South Union Boulevard for a single motorcycle crash around 5:20 p.m. on August 29. CSPD says a preliminary investigation showed the motorcycle had been driving southbound and failed to navigate a curve, causing it to go off the road.

The driver, identified as 48-year-old Clinton Eaton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

CSPD says this is the 41st traffic fatality in Colorado Springs this year. The investigation into this crash is still open, and anyone with information or who may have witnessed it is asked to contact CSPD.
