EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) announces that applications are open for its 2027 "People Who Wander" grant program, which assists local governments and law enforcement agencies in supporting individuals who wander due to medical conditions.

CBI says this program included support for those with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, and other developmental, cognitive, neurological or chromosomal disorders.

The grant can fund equipment such as medical information devices and tracking technology, as well as training for search personnel and outreach efforts focused on recovery programs, CBI says.

The application is open through Oct. 30. To apply, click here.
