Dave Holder

Dave Holder is KRDO13's Chief Meteorologist. Born in England and having lived in multiple locations across the US, Dave has experienced the full spectrum of people and places over the years. Always looking for the next adventure and curious about the world around him, he originally went to school to earn a degree in sociology and political science before deciding his true calling was meteorology.

After heading to Oklahoma, storm chasing became an integral part of his life, and he learned about weather both in the field and in the classroom. Knowing storm chasing wasn't going to be a full-time job, Dave focused on the broadcast side of meteorology.

Forecasting, explaining, and teaching his meteorological knowledge to others became his purpose, and he has been very fortunate to do so at multiple stops, including Quincy, IL, Eugene, OR, Bismarck, ND, and now in Colorado!

Outside of weather, you can find him hiking with his dog Ciabatta, playing poker, at a concert, or cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners and Philadelphia Eagles.
