F-16 pilot and former Air Force football player with viral flyover at practice

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- F-16 pilot Nate Walker was once a fullback for Air Force. Last Saturday, he surprised the 2026 Falcons with a flyover during practice.

Walker graduated from the Academy in 2011 and is from Colorado Springs, having attended Colorado Springs Christian School.

"Just to be able to have the opportunity to come back and fly [an] F-16 over my alma mater, over a whole brotherhood of boys that I played with back in the day. It's just incredibly special," Walker said.

The viral flyover was shared by Air Force Football social media accounts and has been reposted by national sports outlets, garnering millions of views in the past week.

Air Force's first game is Sept. 4 at home versus Duquesne.
