Showers and thunderstorms through the weekend along with a big cooldown

Tonight we will see partly cloudy skies along with a good chance of showers and thunderstorms for most areas along the I-25 Corridor. It will be on the breezy side with winds out of the northwest at around 10 to 15 mph. We could see some stronger gusts in and around the area where thunderstorms develop. Overnight lows will fall into the upper 50s.

Thursday will bring us another chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms for most areas here in Southern Colorado. We will have to watch for the possibility of flash flooding in the burn scar areas as heavy rain moves through the area. We will finally start to see cooler conditions temperature wise, with highs in the mid 80s.

We do have the chance for heavy rain on Friday and right through the weekend. Expect afternoon and evening thunderstorms each day with cooler temperatures in the 80s.

The chance of storms will stick around for Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the 80s.
