Woman arrested after ramming into EPSO vehicle, fleeing

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A woman has been arrested after intentionally running into an El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO) patrol car.

According to officials, 26-year-old Zhane Molina was arrested on Thursday, July 23 after deputies located a stolen vehicle near the 600 block of Peterson Road in the Cimarron Hills area of unincorporated El Paso County that they say Molina was driving.

EPSO says deputies positioned their cars to attempt to block Molina from fleeing when she intentionally rammed one of the patrol cars. She then fled the scene driving recklessly and deputies attempted to pursue, before stopping due to potential danger to the public.

Officials say EPSO deputies were later able to locate Molina at a second location and take her into custody. She is now being held at the El Paso County Jail on a $50,400 bond.

Molina is being charged with first-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault, vehicular eluding, second-degree motor vehicle theft, reckless endangerment and other traffic offenses.
