Hot and dry weekend ahead followed by stormy weather next week

Tonight we will see mostly cloudy skies with breezy conditions for most areas along the I-25 Corridor. There is a slight chance of some showers and thunderstorms up in the High Country. Overnight lows will fall into the lower 60s.

Saturday and Sunday will bring more hot and dry conditions. Expect highs in the low to mid-90s, with Sunday the warmest day of the weekend.

Monday will be our day of transition, weather-wise. Monsoonal moisture will start making its way into Southern Colorado and the Eastern Plains. We do have a good chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. High will be slightly cooler, generally right around 90 degrees.

The chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms will stick around for Tuesday and Wednesday. High ponce again will hover near 90 degrees. We will have to watch for the possibility of Flash Flooding over the burn scar areas, as we could see some widespread heavy rainfall next week.
