Severe weather possible across Colorado this week

TODAY: It's calm and quiet to start Monday, but we'll watch for showers and storms to pop later on today. Temps will top off in the mid 80s along I-25, with upper 80s/low 90s across the Plains. Storm fire after 2pm, with some storms having the potential to be severe with a large hail and strong wind threat.

TUESDAY: Tuesday will be a little bit warmer, with 80s and low 90s more common along and east of I-25. Storms are also possible Tuesday afternoon, along with a sharper cool front Tuesday evening. There are some question marks on ADDITIONAL thunderstorm development after sunset Tuesday... this will have to be watched closely for a nocturnal hail, wind and even tornado threat.

REST OF THE WEEK: Wednesday and Thursday look like our best chance for widespread strong thunderstorms... at this point, strong winds, flash flooding and hail are all threats we're monitoring... it will also be much cooler with upper 70s and low 80s more likely those days. Needless to say, we look to have a very active weather week ahead, so stay in tune with the forecast...
