2026 United States Air Force Academy Graduation; Thunderbirds air show canceled

KRDO

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Air Force Academy graduation ceremony began at 9 a.m., featuring commencement speaker Vice President JD Vance.

The Thunderbirds' 30-minute air show was canceled due to the weather; however, they still performed a quick flyover.

Over 900 cadets officially became airmen and airwomen and Space Force guardians after a 47-month training program. The training consists of studying military doctrine, heritage, and professionalism.

The cadets also learn how to shoot, move, and communicate as a unit through a program designed to prepare them to be ready to serve on graduation day.

The livestream has ended. Click here for a full recording of the ceremony.
