Massive 75-vehicle crash blocks I-70 East and Highway 6 in Clear Creek County

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office says a multi-vehicle crash involving around 75 vehicles is blocking the left lane on I-70, and all eastbound lanes of I-70 are expected to be closed for several hours.

According to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP), the westbound right lane of I-70 is open and moving slowly.

Law enforcement says the crash occurred around 3 p.m., and 19 people were evaluated on scene for injuries, 11 declined transportation, eight were transported to nearby area hospitals for their injuries, and one person of those eight sustained serious bodily injuries.

No fatalities have been reported as of 4:50 p.m., according to CSP.
