On the Lookout: Tools, child’s Jeep and other items returned to family; thieves still on the run

Widefield Lawn Thieves

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is still on the lookout for two thieves caught on camera stealing from a woman's front yard in Widefield.

But there's a bit of good news following the story.

On the morning of January 26th, Nicole Spengler's surveillance camera caught two men coming onto her front yard and stealing thousands of items.

Her family was in the process of moving at the time.

Spengler says because of KRDO viewers, someone recognized the green truck they were in, leading deputies to a home on Circle Drive.

There they found several items, including her daughter's Jeep, fishing gear, a lawnmower and several tools.

The two in the video are still on the run.

If you have any information on who they are, please the El Paso County Sheriff's Office at 719-390-5555.
