One dead after shooting at Summit Creek Apartments

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – One person is dead after police say an argument escalated into a shooting at the Summit Creek Apartments late Tuesday night.

Colorado Springs Police were dispatched to investigate a disturbance at the apartment complex on Chelton Road near South Academy at 10:38 p.m on Nov. 26.

When they arrived, police found a man with at least one gunshot wound laying on the ground in critical condition. Despite police attempting life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead on scene.

CSPD say an early investigation revealed that the shooting began as an argument between two individuals who knew each other.

Detectives are now working to identify and locate the suspect.
