El Paso County deputy struck by car in Security-Widefield, suspect on the loose
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) - The El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO) responded to an "officer-involved shooting" near Fantasia and Fencer Rd.
This is in the Security-Widefield area.
EPSO says that a deputy was hit by a car. The deputy then fired a shot. It is unclear if the driver was hit but, they left the scene and police are looking for them.
The deputy was trying to contact the car because EPSO said it was stolen.
EPSO is asking for information about the driver and says the deputy had non-life-threatening injuries.
EPSO is looking for a 2015 Blue Mazda MPV. If the vehicle is located, do not approach and call 911.

The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating the shooting per officer-involved shooting protocol. Under EPSO policy, the deputy will be placed on administrative leave.
